From the Start
April 8 came and went with no baby appearing. On Saturday morning, April 14, our doctor called to advise that I could come to the hospital immediately and be induced. We were more than ready to meet our son so Chad and I picked up mom and hurried to the hospital where our six-hour journey to deliver our baby began. After an intense scare when my blood pressure and the baby's heart rate dropped requiring a trip to the OR and almost necessitating a cesarean, Dr. Lacroix and team got us back on track. At 6:08PM our precious baby emerged crying and ready to nurse. He weighed 7lb 8oz, was 20"in length, and perfect in every way. It was love at first sight.
As Chad and I held him in the delivery room we decided his name would be Henry James. We like the name Henry; James is Chad's middle name and his father's name. Family members were gathered in the waiting room anxiously awaiting their first glimpse of Henry. They didn't have long to wait and took turns holding Henry when he was less than two hours.

The 3 of us stayed in the hospital for 3 days and we were discharged on Monday afternoon. We have lots of visitors and Henry is so loved. The hospital staff was amazing, very helpfully and supportive. We left the hospital and couldn't want for Henry to see his home.
